Guilty Pleasures

One of my guilty pleasures is watching the programme Salvage Hunters,

so I couldn't wait for the weekend so that I could visit the Salvo Fair

at Stubbings Estate.

It amazes me that items that were discarded in the past are

now highly sort after by interior designers.  School chairs and stools from the science labs

were in abundance, so too were church pews and galvanised steel watering cans

which I remember my Dad using!

One company that really impressed me with their innovative designs

was Antiques By Design. Just take a look at some of their creative

lighting....

Even a pair of scissors have been given a new lease of life as
a lamp!

Diamond Jubilee Weekend

The Diamond Jubilee weekend will

soon be here and what better place to celebrate

than Windsor.

This Sunday the Windsor Emporium

will be opening the doors of 

the Guildhall once again and inviting 

you in to buy antiques, art and 

handmade luxury gifts.

Come along, meet me and

other artisans and enjoy a coffee

in the vintage cafe.

Signs of Spring

It has been a gorgeous sunny afternoon

here in beautiful Berkshire...

I have just got back from walking

our lovely dog Harry

a minature schnauzer and

was happy to see so many

signs that spring is on it's way!

situated in the beautiful Guildhall, Windsor

selling our luxury scented soy candles...

Of course there are plenty of other

things to do in Windsor once you

have finished buying at the Emporium.

You could take to the river, visit

the Castle, enjoy a horse-drawn
